Talkyto v8.4.0 Is Here — Smarter Messaging, Faster Startup, and a Sharper App All Around

Mid-cycle release, big quality-of-life impact. v8.4.0 brings smarter messaging, a faster app, and a long list of polish that adds up to a noticeably better Talkyto.

Let's get into it.

👤 1. Talkyto App: Names on Every Incoming Message

Receiving a message from +1 (555) 012-3456 and trying to remember who that is? Yeah — we've all been there.

Now, incoming messages show the sender's name automatically. Talkyto checks your device contacts and your organization's contact list, then displays the right name at the top of the chat.

Less guessing. More flow.

👋 2. Talkyto App: Swipe to Delete Voicemails

The voicemail list is now a swipe-and-go zone.

Just swipe left on any voicemail to delete it instantly. Quick, satisfying, and exactly what you'd expect from a modern app. Bonus: this also fixes those stubborn zero-length voicemails that used to refuse to leave the list.

Inbox zero, voicemail edition.

⚡ 3. Talkyto App: A Faster Start to Your Day

We've rebuilt the app's startup flow. The result? Talkyto opens noticeably faster — fewer loading screens, less waiting, more doing. If your phone is the first thing you reach for in the morning, this one's for you.

🛠️ 4. Under the Hood: Lots of Polish, Quieter Bugs

This release is packed with the kind of fixes you don't notice until they're gone:

  • Success and error banners stay above modals where they belong.
  • Dark Mode got a polish pass (no more black-on-black contact search).
  • Verified Caller IDs assigned through your organization now show up properly on every device.
  • Editing a contact's phone number in Talkyto Business instantly reflects in the app.
  • Plus: tooltip fixes, formatting fixes, and a stack of behind-the-scenes upgrades to Expo and Android App Check for tighter security.
